International organizations and cooperation

There are a lot of international organizations in the world, for example UNO, the United Nations Organization. It’s an international organization to which nearly all the countries in the world belong. United Nations Headquarters are in the New York City. The UNO tries to make sure there is peace in the world and that all the countries work together to deal with international problems.

UNICEF – United Nations International Children’s Fund – is an organization that helps children in the world suffer4ing from disease, hunger etc.

In recent years people have become more sensitive towards the environment. More and more public organizations and environmentalist movements have been established with every passing year. One of the main environmental international organizations is “Green Peace”. It’s actively works to protect the environment from harm. It also wants to stop damage to the environment caused by nuclear testing, killing the wakes and other animals.

Another example of international organizations is the International Olympic Committee, which was set up in 1896.

The international Olympic committee is formed by the representatives of all countries which take part in the Olympic Games, they ask a city to be the host. In 1980 Moscow hosted the 22 Summer Olympic Games.

There are only some examples of international cooperation. Every year there are more and more international political, economic, cultural and other organizations. International cooperation helps people better understand each other, it promotes peace and friendship in the world.
