Dancing: Jazz – modern

The Plan

1.     Imagining of the Jazz

2.     The beginning of the Jazz

3.     The present days

4.     The conclusion

Do you remember the scenes of films when Negroes dance to God in front of the fire listening to the rhythmic beating of the drums, clapping and stamping that makes a complicated rhythmic design...

The Jazz style has its roots from the traditional dancing of African tribes. And through the years the expression and improvisation of African rhythms mixed with Jazz music elements and American Jazz- dance  appeared. This dance can’t be separated with Jazz music and that’s why they have been developing together.

The golden age of Jazz style was at 60th.

These days the Jazz-dance have been changed the shape. It takes a lot after such modern cultures as hip-hop, brake dance, funk. The most important features of Jazz-dance are aggression, isolation of every part of body and  an accent to the ground.

To make a conclusion I should mention that Jazz and contemporary-ballet (The Modern) have much in common and the verge between them is very imperceptible. The main difference is that the Modern has its roots from the ballet, and the Jazz dance from the “social” styles.
