Problems
of the free time
All the teenagers can be
divided into two groups: formal and informal. Teenagers from informal groups
have interests from those of the mainstream ones, for example hackers, rockers,
skinheads etc. teenagers from formal groups generally spend their free time
going sports, party going, sightseeing, watching TV, cinema or theatre going.
Sport helps people to keep fit
and beat stress and negative emotions. It builds character. But for many
teenagers taking sport seriously is no fun at all. It’s a hard and expensive
business.
Some people like to go to the
parties. I adore it too. It’s so pleasant to listen to good music and dance. And
of course it’s a terrific opportunity to meet new people and to chat with them.
Art lovers attend exhibitions and
enjoy world famous paintings, rare sculptures, the remains of ancient civilizations.
For them it’s very interesting to visit different museums, for example Pushkin’s
Museum of fine arts or Tretyakov Gallery.
Cinema and TV films have become
an important part of our life. Now we can watch films of different genres, such
as western, action films, comedies, thrillers, melodramas, horror films,
cartoons. I like to go to the cinema and I prefer cinema to video, as you sit
together with other spectators and your emotions and fillings are twice
stronger with all these people around you.
I like theatre as well and
like watching an exiting play or listen to a talented opera.
Many of teenagers complain
that it has become very expensive to enjoy culture and attend cinemas and theatres
regularly, as well as good sport clubs. But to my mind most of teenagers face
another problem, they have no free time. This is my problem as well, especially
this year. But I hope that after my school and entrance exams I’ll be able to
relax completely and enjoy every minute of my free time.
