Science and technology. New frontiers.

 

In recent years the scientific and technological developments have radically changed life on our planet. Nowadays we canТt live without products of science. But every invention has itТs history and very often we donТt know it.

First of all Einstein found his Уtheory of relativityФ while rocking his one-year-old baby. His mould-braking equation showed how a small peace of mass could produce a great amount of energy.

The other far reaching founding was a lucky accident. Before going to the holiday Mr. Fleming left a dish with the bacteria near the window of laboratory. When he came back he saw a blue mould in the dish round, the bacteria was destroyed. In such way the penicillin was discovered. During the second world War, when the penicillin was first being used, other scientists were working under a new machine called ENIAC or the computer. It was huge: 100 feet long and weighing over 30 tons. It wasnТt comfortable, and through the last 50 years it was modified to compact sizes and it got lots of functions.

Nowadays artificial intelligence sometimes is much cleverer that human being. Computers are everywhere. They can work in factories, control cars and planes, beat us a chess, make music, give us the news, speak to us and many other things (functions). †Such science as futurology predicts that in future computer will do everything instead of us and computers will be millions of times smarter than us. But I think computers will never enjoy feelings.
