Today, I am going to talk about our company’s decision. You know our company, SKY DRIVE, decided to create a new place for  tobogganing.  Of course, you ask me: “Where this place is going to be, for whom and why.      

            Well, first of all I’d like to tell you about that this place will be only for snowboarders. Certainly, you ask me to explain why it’ll be so. Right, you know that snowboarding is the winter sport? For those, who don’t know what does it mean, I can explain that snowboard looks like a big skateboard without wheels. While standing up with both feet on a board, a snowboarder slides down a slope, controlling the direction with the same small movements that a skateboarder uses. The most difficult thing is to keep balance. But it’s also a way of life, with its own equipment, style, music, clothing and even language. And when skiers are on the one mountain with the snowboarders, they aren’t happy. They say that snowboards ruin the surface of the snow, and snowboarders can be intimidating as they fly down hills at amazing speeds. Besides, their baggy trousers, baseball caps, bright shirts and Walkmans playing Hip-Hop music are not what traditional, conservative skiers are used to. That is one reason why we have taken this decision, and the another reason is that there are only several places where teenagers and college students can be themselves. And snowboarding is especially popular among them. The 90 % of snowboarders are people between the ages 10 and 25. “Skiing is for old people”, says a student from Colorado. “Snowboarding is for the young. You can go crazy when you snowboard and that’s cool”.

            Another area of great interest is where this place is going to be.  We suppose it’ll be near Moscow. We have a project of it. There will be a big mountain with 3 slopes, 3 ski-lifts, snow guns, hire, saving service, personal coach and comfortable cafe. You know that snowboarding is the faster-growing winter sport. That is why we want to create the place where people can drive the whole year.

To sum up, I’d like to say that in my opinion it’s a real good project and I want to give you an advise to visit our mountain in the future.
